What is the Cause of Skin Dryness?

Hi everyone! Is dry facial skin your daily problem and the number one enemy? Have you ever wondered why my skin is so dry? The first thing you need to know is what is the cause of skin dryness. This is the most common problem we encounter especially on these cold days when the skin extremely dries.

Vitamin deficiency – the cause of skin dryness

Vitamin deficiency is the cause of skin dryness

Dry skin is mainly associated with vitamin deficiency.

Always use natural preparations for dry, irritated skin and small wrinkles that appear. They are free of all chemicals, perfumes, alcohol and you can be sure that there will be no reaction to which dry facial skin is prone.

In addition to natural preparations, you can improve the quality of your skin with a balanced diet. The foods you consume should be rich in antioxidants because they protect our skin and prevent the appearance of wrinkles. Increased intake of vitamins C and E is recommended.

Vitamin C affects the formation of collagen, alleviates damage to the skin caused by UV rays. This vitamin is soluble in water, so you can take it into the body through juices, but it is also found in various creams and serums for the face as one of the main ingredients. I recommend serums containing a certain amount of vitamin C  for use by people after the age of 25. People who have sensitive skin and therefore the possibility of allergies caused by the sun’s rays, creams, and serums with vitamin C should use it in the winter. For smokers and people who are not sensitive to vitamin C, its use is allowed throughout the year.

Vitamin E, also known as tocopherol, protects cells from premature aging and damage. Foods rich in this vitamin: nuts (almonds, hazelnuts, peanuts), vegetable oils (sunflower oil), wheat germ, green leafy vegetables such as spinach and broccoli. You can use this vitamin for dry and dehydrated skin. A natural moisturizer that restores balance to the skin and has incredible anti-inflammatory properties.

It is known that vitamin D is also used in the treatment of superficial wounds, but also for removing scars. It is also very successful in treating stretch marks. Dry skin is otherwise prone to stretch marks because it is not elastic. You need to be persistent and consistent and apply the mixture of these two ingredients to the desired place for the next month and a half. Mix the two ingredients, massage in a certain place, leave it to soak for about 30 minutes and then rinse with lukewarm water. You can add this healing vitamin to your face and body lotions.

With regular use, your skin will be moisturized and radiant, and it will also help you remove dark spots from your hands, face, or some other parts of your body. It also helps in the treatment of eczema and psoriasis, and affects the production of collagen and thus the prevention of premature wrinkles around the eyes.

The amount of water you take into your body every day is important for the quality of your skin. It is especially important for people with dry facial skin because it additionally hydrates it. The tone of the skin and its elasticity depend on the amount of water that is in the subcutaneous tissue. I recommend daily intakes of 2l of water,

Dry skin around the eyes – the causes

Dry skin around the eyes can be a common problem during both winter and summer periods. Cold air, just like the sun, dries out the skin, and if this is not taken into account, serious problems such as eczema can be created. The skin around the eyes is much thinner than on other parts of the body and face, so it is more prone to wrinkles because it receives much less moisture.

Some of the causes of dry and irritated skin around the eyes can be:

  • Dermatological problems – too much skin exposure to the sun, atopic dermatitis, perioral dermatitis, and others are all causes of dry skin
  • Climate conditions – avoid any extreme changes in air temperature
  • Stress around the eyes – Too much makeup that does not remove off properly leads to the appearance of wrinkles and dries that part of the skin around the eyes
  • Contact with chemicals – Too aggressive makeup removers, facial cleansing toners adversely affect the area around the eyes.

Tips for dry skin

Never wash your skin with hot water.
Lukewarm to moderately warm water is best for morning washing. It is also recommended for refreshing the whole body. Hot water can really be a problem for dry skin of the face and body. The reason is that it removes all the natural oils that are on our skin. These natural oils actually give moisture to the skin and make it smooth and radiant. After washing, never wipe your face, just lightly dab the moisture with a towel.

Clean it regularly. Removing impurities from the face is one of the prerequisites to get rid of dryness. The skin needs to breathe. For each wash during the day, choose light natural soaps. It is important that soaps are free of perfumes and all odors that are not natural.

Protect your skin from the sun and cold. It has long been known that the sun is one of the main causes of our skin aging prematurely. Prolonged exposure to the sun’s rays leads to the appearance of wrinkles, but also to the roughness of the skin due to drying. This is the so-called photoaging of the face. I recommend, before each sun exposure, a lotion with a protection factor of 30. During winter and cold days, use moisturizing creams with a protection factor of 10 or 15 as well as lip labels.

Follow the rules of hydration. There are many products for hydrating and soothing dry skin. The most effective products are those that contain hyaluronic acid, shea butter, glycerin, and stearic acid. These preparations restore the skin’s elasticity, tighten it and prevent wrinkles. After each washing and cleansing of the facial skin, pat the face lightly with a towel and then apply some of the products that contain the mentioned hydrants.

Try the best natural treatment for dry skin!

To solve this problem, it is not enough to apply creams. You need to pay attention to how you should clean your skin every day, how much water you drink, what kind of environment you are in, and much more.

I hope this article has helped you understand what is the cause of skin dryness, and it is the first thing you need to change.
